Acústico is an EP of three tracks, stripped back and unfiltered, yet immersed in deep emotions. In Acústico I confront and revisit a painful experience, ultimately surrendering to regret.

The journey begins with Espero Verte Otra Vez (I Yearn For You), a guitar prominent inspired song where I use the production technique of layering and stereo width to generate fullness in the mix. This is achieved through the use of a Fender guitar. This intro song sets the stage for the rest of the EP.

In Ilusión (Illusion), I continue the melancholic guitar sound from the 1st track, but introduce more latin style rhythms and melodies. The song is also the most developed in terms of overall soundscape, as almost all of the frequency range is used.

Finally, Ojos Verdes (Green Eyes) is the most vulnerable and authentic song of my EP. I achieve this by including only guitar, vocals and some piano in the entire song. This creates a meaningful, raw, acoustic sound, where mixed with the amount of empty space I leave between the vocal phrases, the listener can ultimately resonate with the overarching theme of regret present in my EP. In this song, my own state of mind is exposed with confessions and feelings of regret.

Rather than ending with a high energy, multi layered climactic finish to the EP, I resolve Acústico using the exact two things that first made me fall in love with music: my guitar and voice.
